  • Jenell Evangelista, M.A, LAC - Clinical Mental Health Director

Jenell graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She continued to pursue her education at Kean University by earning a Master’s in Counseling with LPC qualifications. She has experience working in the mental health field since 2017. She is a certified member of the Clinical TMS society and proficient in administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Jenell also assists in facilitating Spravato treatment sessions. These two types of outpatient treatments have motivated Jenell to look further into other holistic alternatives for treating mental health.

Jenell’s objective is to establish a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can feel secure while navigating life’s challenges. Her passion for assisting others has been a driving force throughout her career. Jenell likes to create a peaceful and understanding space for her clients to examine how their past and present experiences impact their emotions, thoughts, actions, and outlooks on life.

When she is not working, she enjoys working out, going to the beach, baking, reading, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and dog Kona.

  • Heather Levitt, LCSW

Licensed in New York and New Jersey

Therapy works best when you feel understood, so I begin by meeting you where you are. For nearly two decades as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have helped people whose lives have been shaped by trauma.  My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care, which means prioritizing your safety, choice, and pacing at every step. I also draw on interpersonal therapy, CBT, and DBT to help you understand how past experiences affect your relationships, thoughts, and emotions today, and to build practical skills for regulating distress and creating lasting change. I tailor these methods to fit you rather than the other way around, so you feel comfortable and supported as you heal and work toward the change you want to see.

I see therapy as a rare opportunity to have an advisor, teacher, cheerleader, and confidant in one person, someone who will also challenge you to grow. I began my career working with adolescents and young adults, and my practice has since grown to serve people across the lifespan. For more than a decade, I have served as a clinical supervisor and nonprofit director and have been deeply involved in program development, including designing solution-focused psychotherapy programs specifically for college students and older adults. That leadership experience gives me a wide-angle view of how people, systems, and circumstances connect, and it helps me understand the many ways trauma can show up in a person’s life and relationships.

Outside of work, I love trying new restaurants and catching live music and theatre, and I’m happy to get a little lost along the way. I’m also a mom to two very busy, energetic young children, who keep life lively and full of surprises.

I hold an LCSW in New York and New Jersey. I earned my BA from Boston University and my MSW from Rutgers University, and I completed advanced training at New York University.
